  • Adrián Segovia
    Adrián Segovia ELPAÍS.com

    Adrián Segovia is a journalist and Web Analyst. He has developed his career in Vocento (responsible for Research and Promotion Marketing) and Grupo Prisa, where he has been Head of Marketing Intelligence for Prisacom and is currently responsible for Web Analytics at El PAÍS.com . He is also representative of the Spanish online media with the digital measurements Council, an association that has the AIMC and IAB as stewards. Adrian is a regular speaker for prestigious events on Web Analytics and Internet such as eMetrics, Internet Marketing Conference, Conversion Thursday, etc. On the other hand, he is a professor of the Master at ElPaís as well as several universities such as Pontifícia de Salamanca or Universidad de Navarra. He writes a blog on Online Audience and Web Analytics, both subject in which he has been working for several years.

    Akin Arikan is the author of Multichannel Marketing: Metrics and Methods for On and Offline Success. He is also a Director of Product Strategy at Unica Corporation, responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with Unica’s analytics and Internet marketing solutions. Akin has been working with analytics practitioners over the last eleven years now.   • Alejandro Jaimes
    Alejandro Jaimes Yahoo! Research

    Alejandro (Alex) Jaimes is Senior Research Scientist at Yahoo! where he leads new initiatives at the intersection of web-scale data analysis and user understanding. He is particularly interested in user engagement and on improving user experience in the context of social media. Dr. Jaimes holds several patents, was actively involved in the definition of the MPEG-7 standard, and has given invited talks at several international conferences. He is Industry Track chair for ACM Recommender Systems 2010, was Industry Track chair for User Modeling and Personalization (UMAP 2009), and panels chair for Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (ACM KDD 2009), among others. Before joining Yahoo! Dr. Jaimes founded and managed the User Modeling and Data Mining group at Telefónica Research (Madrid). Prior to that he was Scientific Manager at IDIAP-EPFL (Switzerland), and was also previously at Fuji Xerox (Japan), IBM TJ Watson (USA), IBM Tokyo Research Laboratory (Japan), Siemens Corporate Research (USA), and AT&T Bell Laboratories (USA). He obtained his Ph.D. and M.S. from Columbia University in New York City

    Ana Álvarez Sierra graduated with a degree in Journalism and Interaction Design at UPF. She began her career as an Information Architect at Demasiado.com, and has been linked to several projects related to improving user experience and conversion-oriented design. In the CEMEX Group B2B as Content Manager and the agency Ruiz Nicoli Líneas leading interaction design projects. In 2007, she joined the digital marketing consultancy firm Multiplica as Project Director for Madrid office.
    She has worked on various digital strategy consulting projects and user-centered design for clients such as BBVA, Vodafone, Telefonica, CEPSA, IKEA, Hewlett-Packard, Sanitas, Ferrovial, Metrovacesa and Repsol and others.
    In July 2009 she co-founded the55, a consultancy firm based in Madrid and Stockholm, and specialized in digital strategy consulting and product design.

    Javier works as a lecturer at various universities including: University of Lleida, Universitat Pompeu i Fabra, ICEMD and Gimbernat School (Center attached to the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona). He is a founding member of UXA (User Experience Alliance, the largest international network of usability consultants) and is coauthor of the book: Handbook of Global User Research.
